PixelJunk Eden is yet another fresh new game on the PSN, hyped as being possibly the most artistic and nonesensical game on the market what does it offer to gamers and is it worth its price tag, all will be answered.

The organic mario game from the makers of the amazing PixelJunk Monsters was released a month back and has rarely managed a day of rest since purchase a week ago. For its price that's a hell of an achievement and one reason it'd be a great choice for purchase from the PSN store.
Eden is a platforming game with a time limit and a small array of acrobatics featuring quite a diverse selection of levels within a very psychadelic themed setting of plants and vegetation.
Upon starting a level the intention is to collect pollen in order to open up seeds that allow you gain greater height (for most cases) in the gardens in order to reach the spectra that opens more levels within the main game like menu itself.

The game offers quite unboubtably the most bizarre playable character in existence and a huge amount of content and playtime for its generous asking price not to mention trophy support and the ability to upload YouTube video of your playtime.
Eden also caters for online rankings and 3 player mode which can really rack in the faster playtimes and is fun for continuous play especially considering that you will be venturing back to the same gardens (there are 10 in total) in order to gain successive spectra (5 in each garden).
The soundtrack whilst simple is great and immerses you further into the game and the animation involved with the emerging vegetation can be quite a sight to behold. High score racking players are likely to be visually awarded with what can look like thousands of pollen pouring out from successive combination swings (you have the ability to shoot out on a silk strand and circularly collect the pollen).
The controls are all so simple and the game can seem relaxing but things soon heat up with enemies and even worse, the time limit which can only be countered by collecting spectra or variations of time replenishing objects.
You're sure to lose a few and come back again but at the core of the game is quite an acceptable mechanic of gameplay and the learning curve can be great especially with the higher degree of accuracy required in your playing through the later gardens.
True to form the YouTube video uploading can be useful and a newly dedicated YouTube channel for this website has been created for any future videos for when I'm much more improved at the game!
The game is definately an experience you should hope to enjoy should you enter the PSN store and though I'd be lying that I'd buy this over a big budget game such as MGS4 it obliverates most of the retail shelf too and all at just a fraction of the price.
Verdict:Great
